What's Happening in Kindy?

 

Tuesdays

Mrs Pridding is now on maternity leave and Mrs Clarke will be in the classroom every Tuesday. On a Tuesday Mrs Clarke will be focusing on Science topics. The theme for this term is 'Weather'.

Class Reward System

This term we no longer have our teddy bear faces to encourage positive behaviour, we now have a Mr or Mrs Potato Head. We start the day with an empty potato head and throughout the day we choose children who are doing positive things to put a piece onto our potato head. For example children might get to put a piece on for good listening, sharing, doing activities well etc. When the 'Potato Head' is filled up we get to choose a whole class reward, where the whole class is involved. On Friday we chose to all get a special sticker. I wonder what we will choose next time?

 Student Health Forms

• Last term student health forms were sent home in an envelope from our School Nurse. If you haven't filled these in, please do this and return them to class as soon as possible as the nurse will be coming in soon to do the check ups.

Mother's Day

• We are having a special morning to celebrate Mother's Day and would love for every child to have someone to spend the morning with them. We understand that it is often difficult to come in for these morning so if Mums are unable to attend other people like Grandmas, Aunties and Dads are welcome. We hope someone can make it! Please write the name of who is able to attend on our sign up sheet outside our classroom or email me if you don't come to school.
