We had such a wonderful day at
CREEC today. It all started with big bus ride, which the kids
loved! When we arrived we had some morning tea. Then we went on a big walk through the bush and looked for different types of
birds with binoculars. Luckily there was a nice breeze and it wasn't too hot! After our walk we had a play on the playground and ate our lunch. In the afternoon we had a look
inside CREEC and explored all the touch tables. We also went into a
classroom where we explored common patterns in insects by looking at
inflatable insects. Then we went outside and pretended to be scientists by sorting lots of mini beasts
that Hailey had scooped from the river. We got to look at them up close
with magnifying glasses and sort them according to what they were. We
also got to make one of the mini beasts we found out of clay. At the very end of the day we got to have a yummy icy pole!
A
BIG thanks again to our wonderful parent helpers- Sally, Sophie, Mel and Emma! The kids all had such a wonderful day and were so well
behaved. Keep an eye out for more photos in the classroom but here is a
silly class photo of our fun day at CREEC.
