On Friday the 5th of June all the
Kindergarten students will be going on a Community Walk to our local shops.
This excursion will be a
great opportunity for students to explore our whole school inquiry question for
2015, which is 'Where can we find/ use mathematics in our world?'. We will be investigating how mathematics is used in our community. We are planning to visit the local Vet, the
local IGA and the local Bakery. While visiting these shops, the children will
have the opportunity to see how our community members use numbers and maths in
their jobs everyday. Please see the note below for more information. Permission slips are due by Friday 22nd May.
If you are interested in joining us on our Community Walk, please let us know as soon as possible. We will be requesting four parent helpers per class to help during the excursion.
